White Sun System System: White Sun Classification: Core Capital Planets: Londinum, Sihnon Population: 39.5 Billion Composition: 2 Protostars, 0 Gas Giants, 14 worlds, 26 moons Sun: Bai Hu Worlds: Albion (Moon: Avalon), Ariel (Moons: Aripolis, Poseidon, Shiva), Bellerophon (Moons: Parth, Tyrins, Xanthus), Bernadette (Moons: Nautilus, Spinrad), Gonghe (Moons: Xing Yu), Liann Juin (Moons: Tiantan, Fu), Londinum (Moons: Colchest, Balkerne), Osiris (Moons: Epeuva, Tannhauser), Sihnon (Moons: Airen, Xiansheng, Xiaojie), Rubicon, Valentine (Moons: Chons, Selene) Protostar: Lux Worlds: Pelorum (Moon: Kaleidoscope), Persephone (Moons: Hades, Renao) Protostar: Qin Shi Huang Worlds: Santo (Moons: New Luxor, Tethys) Bai Hu [planet]Albion[/planet] Capital: Gia Moon: Avalon Cortex: As close to Earth-That-Was as possible, that's sort of Albion's motto. The creators didn't have much to go on - after all they'd spent their life in a space ship - but they tried to recreate the same world they saw in their great-grandparents photos and videos, and what they ended up with is a good impression or imitation, but not exactly right. [blockquote][planet]Avalon[/planet] Capital: --- Cortex: ---[/blockquote] [planet]Ariel[/planet] Capital: Cassio Moons: Aripolis, Poseidon, Shiva Cortex: Ariel is a highly industrialized planet with a sky full of ships, buildings, and billboards. Most entertainment and media is produced on Ariel, with the city of Yulin being something of a modern version of Hollywood from Earth-That-Was. Ariel is mainly famed in the 'verse for two things: it's medical facilities and it's food. It has some of the finest hospitals this side of the solar system, and even better restaurants. Leading to what some joke should be their motto: Come here to eat and die. [blockquote][planet]Aripolis[/planet] Capital: Remolo Cortex: No, you never will get the chance to see the beauty of Earth-That-Was. but at least you can see Aripolis. Etched with rivers flowing through the cities and across the world, Aripolis was built in a style that reminded someone of home, a home that had once been Venice, Italy. Of course, seeing as they had been born in a spaceship, Aripolis isn't exactly accurate, but they did what they could given the sketches they had. the feds keep an eye on this little gem, less for it's delightful appearance and more to do with the major banking systems on world. [planet]Poseidon[/planet] Capital: --- Cortex: --- [planet]Shiva[/planet] Capital: --- Cortex: ---[/blockquote] [planet]Bellerophon[/planet] Capital: None Moons: Parth, Tyrins, Xanthus Cortex: Bellerphon is a world in it's own right, sure, but it's hardly anything you'd visit. An escape for the wealthy not wishing to have neighbors, each estate in Bellerophon hovers above the planet's pristine ocean. Only people here are the wealthy and the people they get to work for them. [blockquote][planet]Parth[/planet] Capital: Nara Cortex: Not every world under the white sun is so perfect. Parth is pretty far out from the center, but that doesn't matter. There is no excuse for having such a large slave trade on a planet suppose to be under the direct watch of the Alliance. The problem is with all of Parth's huge cities, giant buildings shadowing the streets, it's hard to keep up with everything that happens there. [planet]Tyrins[/planet] Capital: --- Cortex: --- [planet]Xanthus[/planet] Capital: --- Cortex: ---[/blockquote] [planet]Bernadette[/planet] Capital: Ausparis Moons: Nautilus, Spinrad Cortex: Known to be a fine stop for those off to the border worlds, the ship docks are full of shops and slave traders, sometimes it's hard to tell which you're talking to. Of course, then there are places like Ausparis with the Prometheus rising up in her sky line - a symbol of the flight to these new worlds, the achievement of the human mind. It is the only surviving ship from the exodus of Earth and dwarfs the rest of the city in her shadow. The city itself is so filled with so many restaurants, theaters, and museums one would hardly believe it shared the same air with the settlers down at the docks. [blockquote][planet]Nautilus[/planet] Capital: --- Cortex: --- [planet]Spinrad[/planet] Capital: --- Cortex: ---[/blockquote] [planet]Gonghe[/planet] Capital: Ni-Tokyo Moon: Xing Yu Cortex: Sihnon is often considered the central planet to visit for a more eastern cultural experience but in truth, just because Gonghe isn't quite as nice does not mean they not worth the visit. With less regulations than Sihnon, Gonghe attracts a different sort of person, perhaps, but they're still a core planet for all their less than reputable business dealings, and still just as stunning a world. Far more urban and modern than the beautifully elegant world of Sihnon, Gonghe is filled with flashing lights and buildings that stretch into the sky so far that they can say you can nearly see Earth-That-Was from their peaks. Life here is frenzied but for those who can keep up well worth the fast pace. [blockquote][planet]Xing Yu[/planet] Capital: --- Cortex: ---[/blockquote] [planet]Liann Juin[/planet] Capital: Kilgore Moons: Tiantan, Fu Cortex: Perhaps not as active as it's other core worlds, don't count Liann Juin out entirely. It is still quite the place to visit, better yet to stay. Thriving from the business of those just on their way off or to some of the more well known core worlds, Liann Juin stays alive with business dealings and their own version of fun at night. It also houses one of the finest flight schools in the 'verse, though being a student there is made all the rougher when in such close proximity of one of the best pleasure centers this side of... anywhere, really. [blockquote][planet]Tiantan[/planet] Capital: --- Cortex: --- [planet]Fu[/planet] Capital: --- Cortex: ---[/blockquote] [planet]Londinum[/planet] Capital: Roma Moons: Balkerne, Colchester Cortex: Londinum was founded on a strong western front, reflected in it's Gothic architecture meant to replicate that of the old city of London. It is home to the strong force of the Allied government, with the house of parliament sitting in Roma, along with many of the ministry buildings. Although popular with tourist (not only for her architecture, also for her Museum of History and Art and her Earth-That-Was replication theaters - Londinum may not be the center of culture the way Sihnon is, but she has plenty of interest) Londinum is largely a No Fly zone and any ship too close to government areas will be shot down without warning. It is patrolled by the I.A.V. Victoria - a space station that keeps in orbit around Londinum at all times. [blockquote][planet]Balkerne[/planet] Capital: --- Cortex: --- [planet]Colchester[/planet] Capital: --- Cortex: ---[/blockquote] [planet]Osiris[/planet] Capital: Capital City Population Classification: Urban Moons: Epeuva, Tannhauser Additional Notes: Not as busy as Londinum, nor as expensive and decedent as Sihnon, Osiris falls somewhere in between. It is the symbol of law and justice in the Alliance, with the High Courts residing in a pyramid shaped building at the center of Capital City. Osiris has fine academies and schools as well, including the College of Law at The University of Osiris - best in the 'verse. They're also home to the Blue Sun Corporations, said to be harder to get into than most prisons are to escape from. No place is perfect, though Osiris tries. They have made more than a few sections 'blackout zones' after curfew trying to cut back on the crimes happening right under lady Justice's nose. [blockquote][planet]Epeuva[/planet] Capital: --- Cortex: --- [planet]Tannhauser[/planet] Capital: --- Cortex: ---[/blockquote] [planet]Sihnon[/planet] Capital: Lu'Weng Moons: Airen, Xiansheng, Xiaojie Cortex: There is a softness to Sihnon even from space, a red glow that radiates from her. She is even lovelier, if possible, from on the ground. The buildings here almost look organic - just as stunning in every way as the planet they sit on. Eastern influences are heavy here: from fashion to culture to dress. And there is so much culture in Sihnon, all sorts of arts are practiced and perfected here. Sihnon is not as closed off and industrialized as Londinum but instead a more open, enjoyable place but that doesn't mean there isn't plenty of business about. Nearly every guild has it's headquarters here, including the Companion Guild who has founded many a temple and house over the planet. [blockquote][planet]Airen[/planet] Capital: --- Cortex: --- [planet]Xiansheng[/planet] Capital: --- Cortex: --- [planet]Xiaojie[/planet] Capital: --- Cortex: --- [/blockquote] [dead]Rubicon[/dead] Cortex: Unterraformed/Uninhabitable. [planet]Valentine[/planet] Capital: Demeter Moons: Chons, Selene Cortex: Sometimes called the beating heart of the Alliance, Valentine is often simply called the home planet. Perhaps not for you, but for millions of other families who live here. The planet itself is wonderfully breathtaking, with sunsets that are said to capture the imagination and make you fall in love. The very ground seems tinted in a faint glow, and the world always seems to be sighing (or beating, as some say, although in actuality this is the underground water system bubbling within the planet). There may not be much interesting here, however, as it is mainly known for it's suburban lifestyle and family homes. [blockquote][planet]Chons[/planet] Capital: --- Cortex: --- [planet]Selene[/planet] Capital: --- Cortex: ---[/blockquote] Lux [planet]Pelorum[/planet] Capital: None Moon: Kaleidoscope Cortex: Perhaps you are thinking, well, I have all these wonderful credits, but what should I do with them? Why not visit Pelorum, playground of the 'verse! The sun always shines on Pelorum, from our own beautiful protostar of Lux to the mythical beauty of Bai Hu! Pelorum has some of the finest dinning, beaches, and hotels of any world. Oh, plus a slave trade that could put any other to shame. So why not come by and enjoy life in the true lap of luxury? [blockquote][planet]Kaleidoscope[/planet] Capital: --- Cortex: ---[/blockquote] [planet]Persphone[/planet] Capital: Eavesdown Moons: Hades, Renao Cortex: The alliance claims that they have even out the playing field. Must be they've never been to Persephone. The planet is highly polarized, with the wealthy aristocratic class thinking themselves nearly core-breed, while 98% of the world is left working their asses off to get by. Of course, Persphone has plenty of places to do that, with businesses and farms, ranches and factories. The main sight, though, is Eavesdown Docks, one of the busiest in the 'verse and always alive with ships, trade, and a crook or two looking for an unwatched pocket. The feds are trying to keep a closer watch, but with all the ships landing there every day, there is only so much the poor boys can do. As a result, there isn't a business you can think of that doesn't take place somewhere on these docks. [blockquote][dead]Hades[/dead] Cortex: Unterraformed/Uninhabitable. [planet]Renao[/planet] Capital: Sichuan Cortex: As it's name suggests, or would if you knew Mandarin, Renao is a planet or crowds and noise and liveliness. Everything is just so alive and active. the whole planet seems to be swallowed into one giant, never ending expanse of city life. It is much more modern in appearance and social spheres than it's mother's planet.[/blockquote] Qin Shi Huang [planet]Santos[/planet] Capital: Lilla Moons: New Luxor, Tethys Cortex: Santos is a wonder to behold. The sort of planet that would make those on Earth-That-Was jealous, the kind of beauty usually only found in paintings. And once upon a time, it was prized for this. As a place to go and just take in the wonders of nature through the technology of terraforming. A place of hope for what other planets may one day be like. Of course, then the war happened and... Well, while some may argue that good came from it, certainly no good came for Santos. The resorts were abandoned when people got too scared to travel so deep into independent territory. So the casinos, they found another way to earn money. Sure, the wealthy and privileged may be disinclined to visit, but the middle class is as good as any and credits are credits. Santos much more resembles an eighteen and over playground now, but certain business people don't mind so much as long as they're making enough to pay off the feds and keep them off planet.
